ugh I don’t know what to write. I just know somehow I’ve fallen off my diet but I don’t think I have. Well that’s not what the scale is telling me. The numbers are going up. I’m soo.. ugh I don’t even have an emotion I can pick for today. When those numbers on the scale go up and I’m doing everything right I feel like WTF! I give up. But I can’t cause I don’t know how. Soooo 😩

Looked at your chosen RDI of 600 calories. Awfully low unless you are extremely short. You just started 16 days ago and don't seem to be following any specific plan nor sticking to any calorie intake. I see lots of snacks, but no real meals. Checkout the wide selection of diet plans and try and follow one for a few weeks. You have logging foods, but not really anything that will help you reach your goal. Tough love. Sorry, weight loss is not going to happen unless you follow a specific plan that will nourish your mind, body, and soul. Best of luck.

Erq..did I read that right? 600 calories. If so, that isn't good. You have to eat to lose weight. I don't know your body but like Rrq says, you have to be pretty short to survive on that amount of food. 1200 is a good start. Don't snack so much, eat protein to make yourself full. It takes time but we believe! Now you just need to believe!💜💜💜💜

I do FS on my phone. I can’t see that information and would have to agree that the RDI is too low.

Thanks Erquiaga for the tough love. My RDI of 600 calories is actually set that way as an alert level for me. It's like setting the clock 5 minutes early. My actual daily goal is 1100-1200 calories. I like seeing the line at 600 because I know if I set it at the actual I tend to go over. I started dieting a year ago (not on this app) and lost 9-10lbs with a highly restrictive diet (gave up carbs and sweets except fruit, started eating more meat). After one year I realized this was unsustainable since I am not a meat fan and missed the carbs. So now I'm just trying to eat fruits and vegetables with meat occasionally since I need more protein as I age and eat carbs but find a limit. Not sure about the snacking comment as I dont actually snack much though I do eat mostly snack foods which is my issue. I prefer snacks food which can become my real meals. I struggle with emotional, binge, bored and OCD eating. But I'm trying. I'm hoping to find away to eat where I dont feel guilt or need to avoid spending time with friends because of the pressure to eat. This is actually the first time, I've written what my goals and plan are. Thank you for that! I think seeing it and trying to put it down in words rather than just in my head helped. You're amazing for giving me the push. Seriously, thank you!

@Diana, and Jcmama - my RDI is actually 1100-1200. I just set it at 600 to let me know I'm at my halfway point. I know from my past errs that when I see room to go to 1200 and will end up at 1500. It's strange but yep for some reason setting it there keeps me in check for the most part. @Jcmama - thanks to Eriqui, I logged online to the site. It's my first time. You should definitely try it. I has more functions and you can see the challenges and I think more tips. Challenges work great for me since I have an slight OCD issue.

I swear when I raise my calories my body is more willing to drop weight. Nothing crazy but I’ve stayed between 1000 and 1300 and have gained this week as well. Can we blame it on the moon or something? 😆 I’m going to raise my calories a tad and see if that actually helps. Also make sure you don’t have a medical reason it’s going up. We can do this. It just takes lots of time.

I'm proud of you p$m! Think about a well rounded program and plan for a treat item that fits within your calorie count. Try to keep your count as close to 1200 as possible each day. The less sugar and processed food you eat, the less your cravings for these items will become. ♥️

@CelticPhoenix - I did have my thyroid checked 2yrs ago. I was within normal levels. Since the levels were ok I wasnt perscribed meds or special diet. A friend told me those levels can very from person to person and to see another dr. I decided to just experiment and add thyroid supplement to my diet. I eat 2 brazil nuts (selenium - I tried the pills; they were gross) and a some seaweed (iodine). I think it helped a little. I noticed the front of my neck seemed less swollen. I originally thought the neck "thickness" was due to weight gain. So maybe I have a slight thyroid issue. I'm experimenting with other things too. I read when you have hypothyroidism you cant work out like a regular person. It does something to your body and makes losing weight harder. Apparently pushing at the gym/ working out isnt the way to go. Instead go slower longer which I'm trying. 🤞

Have you also been working out? Remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so sometimes when people are losing weight and they are also gaining muscle while dropping off fat (which is good). that's why it's sometimes best to take your measurements rather than watch the scale. Muscular folks usually weigh more than fat folks of the same size.

dont worry about the scale did u take measurements? also if u r eating w a deficit dont worry. water matters.
