Gym the last 9/10 days for an hour. Monthly avg 1820 calories a day. Scale going up. Maybe I am getting my precovid body back and hopefully some real progress. The scale plays such a mind game. Lifted for an hour (closer to 54 minutes), worked and stayed active there and then helped a friend move for 2 hours before going to bed. Ate 1500 calories. Woke up heavier. 🤨 Just gotta keep trucking along. I think I am done giving myself weight/scale goals to meet. It is too unpredictable at this stage. Remeasuring on the 15th and then eating chinese food. Been dying for chinese. :)

Yes it can be so dang frustrating! I’ve been weighing but not recording it and it’s all over the place. 🙄

I know my lady lifter friends get it. 💪🏼👍🏼 Yes Paige! Haven't had it in forever since the restaurants in Illinois are just now starting to open and really have no interest in dining with others yet I feel a to go box will not be big enough for all I have planned. 🤣😂

Muscle gains - or just water repairing those muscles. In the end, losing inches is much better than the Idiot Box number any day!

Muscle repair requires water to be retained so heavier the day after lifting is actually a great sign that you’re building bigger stronger muscles

Thanks for sharing. Often, the more I exercise, the more the number on the scale goes up. Have to remember muscle weighs more than fat.

Muscle and water! And you’re right - we get preoccupied with the scale. Better to measure how you feel or how clothes might fit if anything. And your plan for Chinese is spot on! We’re having some tonight!

Muscle s are good at retaining water. The scale does not always reflect actual progress.

Yes- I know all of this and I am losing inches which is thrilling. Back to fitting into my 10's with ease- Couldn't breathe in them before starting back to the gym on 6/11. Maybe one day I'll even be in a 6 or 8.... 💪🏻🤷🏻‍♀️
