I have been into fitness since I was 12 years old. At that time, my bench PR was 150lbs at 132lbs body weight. Most of my fitness has come from sports and outdoor exercises. The gym and weight lifting has never really stuck with me. I seem to get bored after a few months but I have continued to stay in decent shape with other activities until 2017. An injury that year set me back and gave me a “dad bod” over the following few years. Late 2021, this dad bod led me lung clots and woke me up a bit.

Feb 2022- My new beginning. My wife has helped me a lot. She started this journey with me as a "100 day challenge". This challenge was to get in better shape so we would look good on our trip to Florida which was the beginning of June. It was a very difficult start and I had some health challenges but we managed to each drop 15+ lbs. I went from 193 to 174. She went from I think 138 to 120.

June to Sept 2022-Maintained 175lbs and enjoyed the summer.

Sept 1st 2022-Dec 1st 2022- Got down to 167.8lbs and 8.2% bodyfat and felt really small.

December 1st 2022-The bulk began as planned. But a few days into it, my father died. I grieved for most of the month. I ate like crap and only worked out 3 times on the last week. I gained 11lbs and 2” on my waist.

January 2023- I have been hitting the weights 5-6 days a week with high intensity. Gained another 3lbs.
