Tried to fast yesterday but caved once I got home. I was hungry and feeling tired so I ate. I’ll try again today.

Worse part of not fasting yesterday was that I ate late into the night.

Fasting is okay as a way to shock our reset the system, but a healthy diet with enough calories will give your body what it really needs.

might want to try 16/8 fasting with caloric restriction, I have found I can do that when I can't do full fasting due to hunger.

hmm... I started to 'prep' my body for the fast, in that i made sure that the meal before the fast was real whole food. That change made it much, much easier to do.

T@abys I don’t really do a full fast. I do restrict my calorie intake and eat only fruit for the fast

I didn't start to lose or fast (comfortably) until I upped my protein and fats. You seem to be a little high on the carbs and sugars - even starting your day with sugar😜 I've heard that it's possible to be continually hungry until your body has enough protein. I'm testing myself with 25 to 30 grams a meal and felt a well needed relief as I upped my fiber at the same time. It's not easy - but it's doable. Lately, I find myself feeling really full before I finish the plate. Looking at your 3/6 food, you chart P14.vs.C63. That's 3Xs as much carbs to protein. I'm lazy about documenting in FS but I do track myself at the kitchen table and I see myself, my old self in your eating plan. As I upped my protein the hunger started to dissapate! Yesterday I had 91 grams of protein. I hope this works as well for you as it's been working for me. I learned this info earlier-- I literally was up all night HUNGY- HUNGRRY and I refused to eat. -- Stubborn Yes --I was determined to train my body to do intermittent fasting with not enough proteins or fats. I lost more hair than fat thanks be to God that It's growing back now 😁

Thanks Jay for the info. Yes my morning starts with sugar because I only have juice and coffee to start the day. Then have a snack mid morning. Most of my carbs comes from vegetables and I don’t really eat meat so my protein is low. I’ve been eating egg whites but can only eat so much of it a day so I still fall short on the protein. I also don’t eat much. I don’t get hungry often and only eat because I should. But when fasting I definitely get hungry.

Pls take care of yourself. Sounds like you shouldn't be fasting at all (Nothing from nothing, leaves nothing). I'm guessing you already know many many sources of protein besides meat. You would not drive your car when gas is too close to empty - because of the trash at the bottom of the tank. You are much more precious than a car.
