We had to come here to attend a wedding so we made a 4 day vacation out of it. We visited Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and The mountains. We were hoping to see a bear but no luck. We did see a fawn nursing doe. 😊 

Sweet! Seriously?! That's a once in a lifetime catch. Did you manage to get a pic? 

Oh my gosh, you two are toooooo cute! And what a beautiful place to go! I haven’t been to the Smokies—yet. You must’ve been pretty quiet to come up on a mama and her fawn—I bet that was cool. 🥰👍🏻 

We each got a whole video and plenty of pics of the fawn nursing. The kids stayed with their grandparents. It was their last weekend with their favorite cousin before she heads off to college plus they get to go to the Wisconsin Dells in a week with us. We had a whole 2 story house with a hot tub on a mountain to ourselves for four days.

Tnsmileychick- Beautiful area. Plenty for exercise but hard on the vehicles, I would think. 

CrashtetDawnie was right about the trails. One we went on kicked my butt in some places, but I loved it. We decided to do a 4 mile (or 3.9?) trail. It didn't loop so 4 there and 4 back. We had a few hours prior to the rehearsal dinner. Foolish me thought- "piece of cake". We didn't even have time to finish it all. Didn't take into consideration that we'd be climbing a mountain with some rugged terrain and started to run out of time. Hard to keep a decent pace while climbing... for me anyhow. 1 hour in and I estimate we made it about 70% and had to come back in time to get ready. So much fun though. I didn't realize Diablo put this pic on here.  

You guys are too pretty! I am blinded! 

LOL- Jessa. I wasn't pretty afterwards. My entire shirt was wet and outlining the sports bra. (Diablo just glistened). Glad it wasn't a first date or there wouldn't have been a 2nd. LMAO. I loved it though. It was just breathtaking and then back to Illinois- flattest land ever. Ugh.  

LOL. That is a lot of hike before dinner plans! You brave!
