Not bad, Not bad for someone trying to navigate their way through this thing called life. My diet is listed as LCHF: Low carb, High fat / Ketogenic Diet. My food logs for the most part for a little while now beg to differ.

I didn't want to change my diet to "My own diet" because in the past when I did, I couldn't re-adjust my true starting weight so I left it as is.

Thinking about "changing my diet" does not mean that I am actually going to jump ship. As a matter of fact, I plan to keep pushing on because yesterday for the first time, I believe I experienced that food craving nirvana that many LCHFers talk about where they feel full with less calories with no energy drop off. I've consumed the same calories as yesterday on prior occasions with no regards to macros just simply focusing on a total calorie number and I remember constantly thinking about food on those days and going to bed with my stomach grumbling. Another intriguing thing about yesterday, was that on the day prior, I was a very active. I got in plenty steps and did heavy weight lifting in the evening. Usually, the day after an active one, I want to eat everything in sight but that wasn't the case. I will keep experimenting. I will keep trying, failing and adjusting.

Another thing I will change is my weekly weigh ins from Thursdays to Mondays. Although, the weekends maybe a time to relax from the stresses of commuting and work, this does not give me an excuse to gobble, gobble, gobble. To thine own self be true.

I watched "Fittest on Earth," a Netflix documentary about the 2015 Reebok Crossfit Competition. These people eat pizza after a hard day and are amazing. When you burn sugars with exercise, you can eat more sugars and obviously not store it as fat. There is new evidence, however, that athletes can also train their bodies to burn fat. There was a study involving marathon runners, I don't know how that would translate to sprints and weights. Maybe that's what doughnuts are for. It is clear to me that it's a different game when intense training is involved. You can train on vegetables and egg whotes, too. I don't understand it, TBH. When I get down to 150, I will look at weight training for myself. Being fit is a worthy endeavor.

Thanks @wannabhealthier, @dboza and @Ladyindenim. The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Performance, one of my books in my Kindle unlimited library, discusses Keto adapted endurance athletes. I will buy the hard cover book and and to my physical library soon. Readers are leaders. No, even better, people who take action are.

Ches, you're flirting with keto adaptation. You should try it for a week and see how it feels. Carbs below 20; it would be a worthy challenge.

Hi Ches...sometimes its good change up the eating plan. For myself I find carb restricting is too difficult to maintain...but a lot of folks are doing it. I allow myself enough calories not to slow my metabolism and keep my RDI pie chart pretty equal.... and I seem to lose steadily and not suffer from cravings. I have found I can still lose weigh with about 100 carbs a day, 100 grams of quality protein and fat at about 50-60 grams. For a man, you could do 1800-2000 calories, 120 + protein and fat about the same or a bit more. Quality healthful carbs are what i am talking about, but an occasional treat, say a small ice cream or a handful of chips will not totally sabotage you unless you have trigger foods that cause the floodgates to open. GOOD LUCK BUDDY!

Thanks Janny Jan, HCB, erikahollister & iulani. Right now, I feel like a small boat on the ocean, sending big waves into motion. I've done wonderful since Jan til now but I need to practice what I preach and KEEP IT GOING!

Ches I feel the same as far as differing from which diet you chose. At first I was on Atkins, then followed LCHF more closely- now get more protein then fat. I don't know exactly which works better for me yet as I am not great at losing without cutting out an enormous amount of calories and feeling totally deprived which I am DONE with doing! Keep experimenting! We can do this together, that's why we're buddies!

I like it Ches! We'll get another weigh-in on Monday and it sets up an exciting photo finish at the 199.9 tape somewhere in the near future. If it's not close, no worries. I'll just have a couple margaritas and some nachos and wait for you at 200.

I agree with Erika. It sounds like you're getting adapted. Yesterday, I had a very busy day, and had no time to eat. I ended up (unintentionally) fasting for 30 hours. Still, I had plenty of energy, was clear-headed, and got everything done.

52C, my man. My 78 lb 14 year old told me last night "Dad, I watch you eat, but your belly is getting smaller" I smiled and thanked him for noticing. Come Monday, we will separate the boys from the men. No holding back.

Thanks XshapeshiftX, John10251, Synda101 and mskestrela. A very, very special thanks to Mr FiveTwoCowboy...Rising up, back on the street, did my time, took my chances. This is going on full blast tonight when I get home. Sprints and burpees before I eat.

Experiment and fine tune; nothing wrong with that. Just make it happen. I just started doing burpees this week. Have fun with the sprints and burpees buddy.
