Greetings my fantastic FS people!

Sunday was a great kayak trip - we were on the river six hours with only one stop for about 30 minutes. Lots of paddling in to a head wind but I was ready for it! In the photo, I have the yellow paddle and the blue hat!

I am still going to Orange Theory and doing pretty well - I will miss it terribly again once the second hip surgery happens October 6th. My food is OK though I had too many calories for a couple days. My weight needs to be down four or five pounds by September 25th at the Pre-Op physical!

Any tricks beside dehydration to make that happen?

Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle - Tom Venuto

Goals: 2020-2021
* Down on the Idiot Box while rebuilding muscle
* Bodyfat% reading with trainer once weight is down
* Drink at least 10-12 cups of fresh water/fluids daily
* Continue HIIT mixed in with weight lifting three to five days a week
* Keep up the training notebook to achieve progressive overload

Longer Range Goals:
*Bodyfat at 27% or less
*Longer range body fat goal is 25% - which at my age is great!
*Maintain 160lbs or less staying under goal weight in 2021
*Increased strength, endurance and flexibility during workout

That looks so lovely. I am so envious. I tried to talk my husband into a lake trip in September but he was not into it. Is your surgery at the end of the month?

@Liv001 - Surgery is expected to be October 6th but the weight in is the pre-op visit on Sept. 25th. I have to meet the BMI for their surgery center.

Well there is always to weird weightloss tricks if you need to do any just to get a number on the scale. I have not been to a gym since March... missing my fitness centre but waiting a bit

Oh I am so happy for you that you got to go! I love to kayak and haven't been this year. We visit family on a river in BC, Canada each summer... Obviously, not this summer. 😣 I hope your success and recovery from surgery will be really good. You know what is coming, and I'm sure it will be a big relief to have it all over!❤️

Never been in a kayak. Quite sure I'd end up falling over a waterfall. I'm a scaredy cat! 😆

You sound like you're in fantastic shape. Stay active and keep moving - it keeps us youthful. I would love to get my wife more into camping and being more of the outdoors type. The most I can get from her is going to motorcycle rallies and staying in an RV - even then we have to eat in a restaurant. She refuses to eat from a grill or sleep in a tent. lol. I swore it (the camping stuff) off when I got out of the army but now I miss it (believe it or not :) )
