So I've been off of fatsecret for awhile, and it definitely shows. It's been really hard getting back on track. My fiance and I got into a discussion last night because he thinks I should go to someone. But to me, it was kind of hurtful, I guess. Like, it was implying I can't control my own eating.

And yeah, I really really like food. So when I am stressed out, I love to eat. Especially things like pizza. And I went to a nutrionist like two years ago, and she was completely useless. All she did was tell me 1200 calories wasn't enough, and told me to eat 1600 calories. And when I did that I gained weight, and all she told me was to keep doing it. (Not to mention, she was a little on the bigger side).

I also went through a research thing at my school where they tell you how to deal with food cravings, etc. and we ate 1200 calories and they monitoried our weight for a few weeks.

So it's not like I don't know what I have to do, right? I've lost weight before, so I know how to resist temptation - when I am in the mood to do it. Is it so bad that when I get stressed out I like to eat?

At least for now, I am going to try and keep watching my food. My fiance likes to think there is a fix for everything. But I told him that I'm going to have to watch what I eat for the rest of my life. There won't be a day where I can just eat whatever I want and not worry about gaining weight. What is everyone else's opinion? :/

I'm the same as you, when I'm stressed I eat. I've been really stressed since before Thanksgiving because we've been so busy, and that's not going to let up until mid January, so needless to say I'm gaining. I don't think it's good to eat when you're stressed, I know I shouldn't, but sometimes it just happens. This time of year is hard too because there are big meals and treats and parties and all sorts of things for me to indulge in. I think part of it for me too is that I try not to show my stress, so then I hold it in until I'm super stressed then I'll grab the food. I told my hubby last night that I was feeling stressed and he just couldn't believe why I would be, then I start listing all of the things I have going on and he says, "you just need to calm down and not be so stressed about it", um yeah it's that easy. Anyway, I'm there with you, going through that daily struggle, watching what I'm eating. But my hope is that when I'm older I will be healthy from watching what I eat, and I will feel good, so I can enjoy my golden years. :)

I can definitely relate to your last statement about how you'll have to watch what you eat forever. I DEFINITELY find that feeling depressing and have struggled with the whole diet thing because of it. Right now, I am trying to stay in the mindset that if I can be more active (work out - or find fun ways to be active) and watch what I eat *most* of the time, I can still pig out once in a while without gaining weight. I hope I can get that to point! Maybe you can too!

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the encouragement! I've just been having a rough week, and while I'm trying to get back on track, I feel like I am STARVING! D: haha
